Watching your little darling take those first steps towards independence is not only a moment of great pride but can also be very overwhelming.

What you need to know
Most children during the age of 9-10 months start standing up while holding on to furniture and then start taking the first tentative steps. However there would be other kids who will keep on crawling till 14 months and only then make the first attempt towards walking. Every child will follow his own time table. So there is no need to fuss or worry if your child is taking this slowly. Keep encouraging and appreciating him and you will soon be rewarded with those outstretched arms and wobbly legs walking towards you.
