Your little one should be able to sit only after he begins to roll and hold his head up. This is why tummy time is highly recommended as it strengthens his neck muscles and facilitates movement. This milestone will mark an era of new explorations and independence.

What you need to know

Your baby determines the best ways to sit upright by pushing his arms and raising his chest from the ground like a small push up, quite the body builder, isn’t he?

To help him sit comfortably with good balance, position his legs to form a V, prop some cushions around, and sit beside him for support. Place a few toys before him to encourage him further.

Continue helping him sit up and soon days where he chases you around as he crawls and walks are not too far behind. Time will truly fly as he amazes you with just how fast he can grow.
