Your Child Will Draw Attention To Herself During Distress

This stage is an exciting time for you as your child is now making progress in communicating what she needs. Your baby cannot speak yet, but her body is speaking loud and clear to you, if you know what to look for. She can communicate both signs of comfort as well as signs of distress/discomfort.
What you need to know
At this point you will notice that your baby will start crying as a means of getting attention if she is feeling some sense of distress or discomfort. Your baby may give out signs of like crying, grimacing, yawning, spitting up, looking away and frowning. She may react to loud sounds by crying or suddenly becoming very quiet. You can help your child by holding her real close during this time. You can talk and sing to her softly, also rock her back and forth. There may be times when you have met all her needs and still he cries, don’t worry. Your baby probably was overly simulated, had gas or has too much energy and needed a good cry.
As you get to know your baby, you will be able to read her signs and know what to do. This in turn will help promote parent- child bonding.
