Your baby now walks comfortably. He is more confident and wants to try new things like climbing stairs, jumping, running etc. In an effort to try new things and not having a good idea when to stop, he can encounter minor falls at times. The number of falling episodes comes down as he develops better strength, balance and speed of a secure walker.
What you need to know
When your child is walking and has a minor fall, all he needs is a hug and a little ice on the wound to make him feel better, he will get motivated to try it again. Please don’t overreact. It can discourage him from trying. At home, your child can walk bare feet. If he is wearing shoes, please ensure they are the right fit and comfortable.
