By 2 years of age, your child will be able to turn the pages in a book with single pages. His pincer grasp(using the thumb and index finger) which is a fine motor skill milestone is developed which will aid him in turning the pages one at a time.
What you need to know
The challenge is to get him to sit while you try to read him the story. In case he tries to turn more than one page at a time, model the right way. Both of you can practice taking turns. You turn one page and he turns the next page of the story book. This will not just enhance his fine motor skills, but will also give you both a fun chance to bond.
