Your child is showing rapid growth, both physically and mentally. They can understand your words now which is a great thing. You as a mother need to build an excellent communication with the child so that they can respond to your commands. This will help the kid to learn how they can frame sentences and thus improve their communication abilities.
What you need to know
At the age of 3, kids are able to understand and use small sentences. Now you can try with complex sentences that comprise of ‘and’, ‘because’ and ‘but’. Practice such long sentences with the pre-schooler. The next step should be to use describing words such as hungry, happy, fast etc. Start the use of sentences that have who…and…..that. Use sentences that have a prediction element. For example- ‘What is going to happen next?’
The most important thing is to grab the attention of the kid when you are using such sentences during conversations. If the pre-schooler wants to know more about such sentences then count it as a good sign. Be open to answering their queries and correct them when required.
