Your child loves to put together simple 3-5 piece puzzles. For him dismantling the puzzle is as much fun as putting it back again. He loves the sense of achievement on being able to put the pieces together. Wooden shape puzzles or the ones that have pieces that are easier to pick up are better as his fine motor skills are still in the developmental stages.
What you need to know
Puzzles are a great learning tool and will help your child grow the skills that are important to learn to read, write, coordinate thoughts, think sequentially and also to solve problems. Picking up and inserting the pieces in the right place also help in development of fine motor skills.
