As your child will get more and more involved in group activities and will be observing other kids, he will start taking pride in his own accomplishments. The positive feedback that your child will be getting at school for all the skills that he has learnt over time are helping in his confidence building. He would come back from school, bubbling to tell you about all the good things his teacher has said about him, or the star that he got in his notebook or the races that he has won. He will take a lot of pride in narrating these things to you and will look forward to your appreciation and praises.
What you need to know
It is important that you create a warm and nurturing atmosphere at home with ample amount of encouragement and appreciation. Children thrive on appreciation. Try not to belittle the achievements of your child, however small or insignificant it might be.
