Your little one now can now step on a stationary ball and kick it forward and backward. As she kicks the ball, praise her efforts. You can start barefoot which will help her connect with the ball. Once she gets used to kicking the ball, you can get her to kick it with shoes on. Show her the technique and with positive reinforcement for her hard work, she will enjoy kicking the ball.
What you need to know
While practicing kicking the ball indoors, please ensure there is sufficient space to play with no obstacles like furniture, toys etc. on the way. With more play involving jumping, kicking, running, your little one is building stronger muscles.
