Continue Breast Milk Even After Starting Solids
At this stage, you need to remember that your baby still needs breast milk even if you have started with solids. Your baby will have one or two portions of solids each day and the remaining nutritional requirement has to be supplemented with mother’s milk unless your baby is completely weaned.
Breast milk has its own advantages and therefore, it should remain a staple part of your baby’s diet. Suddenly putting your child on a diet of solids alone might not bring positive results for the baby. The switch over from breast milk to solids should be a gradual process so that your child can adapt to it comfortably.
