Offer Lots Of Fluids If Your Baby Has Diarrhoea Or Constipation
Water is life saver in many circumstances. At this tender age, your baby will need more of fluids than anything else. If your child is constipated, it is imperative to give water because that will help ease the bowl movement of the child and relieve him from the discomfort.
But, if the baby is having diarrhea, the water is irreplaceable as it will compensate the loss of water that your baby's body is facing. In many cases, this may prove fatal and the child may end up completely dehydrated if adequate water doesn’t reach him. In such a case, only water and nothing else works. Do not substitute water with anything else if your baby is having loose motions. But make your child have sip by sip. Water is immensely important in both the conditions, but much more during diarrhea. .
If they are bored of regular water, you can try alternatives like tender coconut water or lemon-flavored water. Avoid packaged fruit drinks or soft drinks as they contain excess sugar and additives.
