Start Off With Teaching Your Baby A Few Table Manners!
Your little one at this stage is ready to learn some small table manners like grasping a spoon or a cup. Put some finger foods like biscuits or toast fingers in front of them and let them try picking them up. Do not expect too much though. This would be just an attempt to make your baby familiar with things that he will be eventually dealing with in his life. Make sure it is a very seamless and effortless way of things. At one year year, your child is just learning to take instructions. So more than often he will not do what you are expecting.
There will also be a lot of spilling and litter of the food that is lying in front of him. That is alright. Ensure that you don’t push your child. Because no matter how hard it sounds, your child is not completely ready for it. So go slow, allow your child to be slightly playful with the food. Teach him with a lot of patience. This should start working out better by the time your baby is touching two years of age.
