Your baby is spitting up when he is dribbling just a little portion of milk or other fluid that he has taken in. This is more common in the case of fluids like milk. Your baby may spit up several times in a day and probably every time he has milk. You will also notice your baby spitting up just after or during burping. This is absolutely normal and totally harmless.

However, vomiting is much more serious, though not always. Vomiting is when your baby is throwing up the food with much more force. Along with the fluid if specs of solid granules also come out, you can be assured that your baby is throwing up. Throwing up isn't an issue as long as it is occasional. But, if your baby is throwing up continuously or after every meal, see your doctor as soon as possible.
