Build A Proper Routine For Your Child's Time-to-Time Activities
Possibly, disciplining your child is one of the toughest jobs in hand at this point of life. No matter how hard you try and how many rules you lay down, your child will have his ways of doing things and the rules do get altered. This irks. And, so the best way to set rules for your child is to allow him to make some rules for himself.
Sit down with him and take his suggestions and make the rules. The only rule that you can put across is that these rules must be followed and can never be altered. This way your child becomes responsible as he himself is responsible for his deeds. Allow time and space in his routine to show what he knows. This will give him a sense of ownership and autonomy. Involve him in rule setting. The more he is involved in this process, the better he understands and follows rules.
And in most of the cases, self made rules are diligently adhered to by the child. Try this now, and watch if you see any changes in the discipline patterns of your kid on the whole.
