Making your child feel responsible is a task that you must take as a parent, at this point of time. Often we tend to say that we want our kids to be responsible or behave responsibly. But that doesn’t happen. Well, look deep down and you will know that perhaps there are some things that were missing in your parenting that has caused this.

Instilling a sense of responsibility in your child is a slow and steady process that must be done with care. In order to make your child responsible, give him responsibilities that he can take care of. It is important that you make your child feel that he can do it. And do it in his own way. It is important at the same time that you show that trust in him so that he can accept something that he is not used to do.

This is just the start and slowly small tasks and then big ones will enable your child to execute it better, and feel strongly about it. Be his support and be there when he falters. Don’t allow his confidence to break away. And over the years, your child will become responsible and also confident in his own stride. That’s because he will have confidence in his own self and endeavours, and that will help him grow immensely.
