Encourage Conversations By Asking Open Ended Questions
When you read a book to your child, you can ask many open ended questions like "How do you think the story will end?" "What could happen next?" Or, "How do the characters in the story feel?"
This will help him to work on his creativity and imagination. If your child is giving one-word response to your open-ended questions, use 'how,' 'what' questions, which will encourage him to talk more. For instance, if he says his day at school was good. Ask him about what he liked at school today? Which activities were done? etc.
