Help Your Kid Exercise Their Developing Cognitive Skills
Your child's cognitive skills are maximizing at this point and his thinking skills are getting honed. Inculcate in your child a habit of independent thinking and problem solving approach. Instead of allowing him a readily available answer to his question, ask him how he would deal with a situation if he was stuck in it.
For instance, while teaching him a history lesson on any event, ask him how he would have handled it had he been in charge of the situation. This acts as a booster for your child's imaginative faculty as he has to picture himself in that situation and then come up with an answer instead of relying on a readily available one. Help him in this exercise by either dropping hints or leaving a road map that he can follow. This way, the kid is not only more interested in learning new things, but also build up on his imaginative and cognitive faculties more effectively.
