If Your Kid Is Actually Hungry, Offer A Healthy Snack
When your child is actually hungry, ensure you offer healthy snacks like cut fruits, vegetables, soups, oatmeal cookies, etc.
Your child may want to have chips, candy, ice-cream, chocolates, or any other unhealthy choice for a snack. Instead pick the snack for him. Talk to him why healthy snacks are important and be firm so that he eats and gets the right nutrition.
At times, your child may just want to munch on something unhealthy when he is actually not hungry. For instance, feeling bored, lonely, is very happy, frustrated. In such cases, also offer him healthy snack. He may refuse to eat. However, don’t give in otherwise it can interfere with the intake of his main meals and inculcate wrong eating habits.
