Involve Your Kid In Menu Planning
Your child is developing a strong sense of his own identity. Giving him opportunities where he makes meaningful contributions to the family by assisting in chores, increases his self-esteem.
In order to raise a healthy eater, involve your child in planning the menu. The key here is to give chance to your child to make healthy choices. For instance, you want tomato or corn soup OR raita made from cucumber or mixed vegetables. When involved, there is a higher probability that he consumes healthy food.
Take him for grocery shopping to buy fruits, vegetables, milk, yoghurt, etc. Get him to select the foods as per the list prepared and you can also teach him to check the expiry date.
As you begin cooking, you can involve him in getting the ingredients together, washing vegetables, mixing batter, etc.
