Maintain Safety Standards Always When Handling Hot Objects
Your child will now be exploring the world around him eagerly, so you need to teach him about the danger of hot objects. It is absolutely critical to keep his safety in mind while instructing him how to handle hot items. Make him understand the concept of hot and cold by explaining it to him before you start.
Never practice with extremely hot objects. Go for semi-warm or mildly warm items. Warm liquids can spill at first, so it is better to start off with a closed flask or bottle. Let him hold it gently and transfer it form the table to the kitchen, or just bring it to you. Praise him when he does it successfully.
Explain to your child what you will be teaching him; however do not make him apprehensive or scared, otherwise he will be too nervous to learn. Just tell him that he needs to be careful and follow your instructions perfectly, and he will be fine.
