Play is very important for your child's gross and fine motor skills development. Through play, your little one can learn how to control and coordinate his large body movements and also his small movements of hands and fingers. You can also encourage motor development in your little sweetheart by planning different activities.

Gross motor skills

It includes the control of arms, legs, head and trunk. You can encourage your kiddo to develop his gross motor skills by building opportunities for him to run, jump, hop, throw and catch, climb up and down, pedal a tricycle, push and pull, etc.

Fine motor skills

It includes the control of smaller muscles that is muscles in hands, feet, fingers and toes. Try the activities for fine motor development as to let him play with play dough, blocks of various sizes, puzzles, etc.
