At this stage, the best way to inculcate the healthy habit of meditation in your child is by performing it together as a famil. Pick a time when all the family members are available and stick to a meditation routine every day. Do not force your child if he gets too fidgety. Give a gap of few days and then try again. Meditate in a room that has soothing light and no sound distractions.

Rope in your child while preparing for meditation. Allow him to put his suggestion as to how to create an environment in which all can sit and meditate well. This makes meditation attractive to your child and much inclusive in many ways. If your child is only asked to meditate , then he may not be interested to do it every time. The trick is to involve him and make it more worthy for his attention span. Making him a part of the process is what makes the child more inquisitive and interested, at the same time. This is also a great way of making the child responsible through various in house jobs in hand. Such activities help in the wholesome development of the child.
