Respond To Your Kid Patiently - It Is Common For Kids To Keep Asking Questions
- At this age, your child is becoming more aware of the world around, and so she will start asking questions constantly. Never discourage your child from asking questions. Answer patiently and truthfully as far as possible. If you do not know the answer, look it up and find out together.
- As your little one would grow in age, her curiosity to know more would enhance. Do not feel irritated, but develop a patient mind to answer all her questions. You as a parent need to understand that this is the phase when your toddler gains composure to observe the world around her.
- Never ever discourage her by saying ‘No’. Address her with a smile on your face and softly dictate her the details. There might be times when you aren’t aware of the exact answer; take your time but make sure you offer the correct answer.
- The reason looking up for the answer together with your little one, in case you don't know the answer, is beneficial is the fact that this way your child will also learn to use resources from a very early age as she grows up, to find answers to things she doesn't know. For instance, checking the dictionary right away in case she doesn't understand the meaning of a particular word.
