If Your Child Wants To Keep Repeating The Same Play, Indulge Them
- Your child at this point enjoys repetition be it in play, reading, talking or any activity. This is because repetition gets her mastery over the task, provides better sense of control and boosts her confidence and independence.
- In play, building a tower, solving puzzles, throwing a ball are done ‘N’ number of times. This way she works on her memory and motor skills.
- While reading a book, don’t be surprised if she asks you to read the same story again and again. This way she works on her vocabulary and language skills.
- Reinforcement and consistently carrying out routines like mealtime, bedtime rituals, etc. will make her more comfortable and secure, thereby inculcating good healthy habits early on along with discipline.
