It's Time for Perfecting Dental Hygeine
Your little one is way over one year old and this is the right time to instil good and healthy oral habits for your little one.
-Brush your child’s teeth twice a day for 2 minutes each time.
-Use a soft bristled toothbrush to avoid gum damage. When the bristles start to spread, its time to replace the brush.
-Read books to him that talk about oral care, dentist visit (picture books with less text)
-Include healthy snacks like vegetables, fruits, cheese that are less in sugar in his diet.
-After his first birthday, he should be leaving the bottle and drinking from the cup. Continuing with the bottle can cause tooth decay.
-Schedule a dentist visit every six months. Talk positive to your child before the visit. You can say, “Dear, the dentist will make your smile bright and you will have healthy and strong teeth to chew your favourite foods.”
