Your diet: Why small portions of light meals are advised now

During week 36, you will experience lot of heartburn and acidity as your baby cramps your digestive system but do not worry as short meals will be there to your rescue at this stage. Try not to eat too much in one go and stay away from fried, oily, spicy food that increases the chances of heartburn in you. At this stage, eat food that is rich in fiber, calcium, iron, vitamins and folic acid. Eat two types of fresh fruits every day to give your body the required fiber that it needs. Drink lots of water as this will keep dehydration at bay and also keep you away from constipation that is a major problem among pregnant women at this stage. Eat milk and milk related products like butter and cheese on a regular basis and also beneficial for the build-up of calcium in your body.Your diet: Why small portions of light meals are advised now

At this stage, stay away from alcohol, caffeine, smoking raw seafood as this will harm your baby in a big way. You need to stay away from sugary desserts as this will keep you healthy in a long way. Low-fat milk consumption will help in keeping your bones strong and helps in building up the milk during breastfeeding. Eating a healthy diet helps in keeping your baby active and healthy in your womb. The little one will be strong enough to push and pull on its own at the time of delivery from your birth canal making your delivery easy.
