Lentils With Pumpkin Puree
Introduce lentils to your little one, it is a good source of protein, calcium, vitamin B and iron. Pumpkin provides beta-carotene, vitamin and minerals. Ingredients: 50 gms lentils (mansoor dal), 100 gms pumpkin (one slice), water.
1. Wash lentils 2 times and keep it side. Peel the pumpkin, wash and cut it into cubes.
2. Now take a pressure cooker, put pumpkin and lentils along with water, close the lid and allow it to cook on medium flame for 2-3 whistles.
3. Let it cool down, put it in a blender, blend it till you get a smooth consistency.
4. Now, pass the puree through the sieve and place a bowl beneath it. Press the mixture through it using a wooden spoon. So that the fat chunks remain in it. Stir properly.
Serve this yummy dish to your little one.
