Aloo 65 is North Indian snack item which is tasty and spicy. It is highly nutritious as it is made from potatoes which are rich in potassium, carbohydrates, dietary fibre, protein, Vitamin C, iron, calcium, Vitamin B6 and magnesium.
Ingredients: 4-5 medium sized potatoes, 3 tbsp. whole wheat flour, 3 tbsp. corn flour, 7-8 curry leaves, 1 tsp. red chilli powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 3 tsp. ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, few coriander leaves for garnishing, water, salt and oil.
1. Parboil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Peel and dice them and set aside.
2. Take the whole wheat flour, corn flour, curry leaves, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, coriander leaves, water and salt in a mixing bowl and make a thick batter.
3. Coat the diced potatoes in the batter and drop them into a pan of hot oil. Deep fry and scoop out.
