Aloo Palak Paratha
Here’s an easy and smart way to ensure that you get the nutrition that you need from palak. Aloo palak parathas are easy to make and they ensure they deliver all the essential nutrients that Palak has to offer. Palak is rich in potassium, dietary fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, iron, magnesium, etc.
Ingredients: ¾ cup spinach puree, 1 cup mashed potatoes, 1 tsp garlic paste, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 2 cups atta, 1 tbsp yogurt, 1 tsp oil, salt and oil.
1. In a mixing bowl, add the spinach puree, mashed potatoes, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, atta, yogurt and salt and mix well. Knead into soft dough and set aside for some time.
2. Roll out small balls from the dough and roll them out into full sized parathas.
3. Heat oil on a griddle and cook the parathas. When the base looks crisp and done, pour oil on the upper side of the paratha and flip. Repeat till you see brown spots on both sides of the paratha.
4. Serve hot with pickle and curd.
