You can make a delicious snack at home using this beetroot tikki recipe. These tikkis are not only delicious, but also nutritious as they are made using beetroots which are a rich source of dietary fibre, Vitamin C, calcium, iron, Vitamin B6 and magnesium.

Ingredients: 1 large beetroot, 1 large potato, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp fennel powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp amchur powder, 1 green chilli chopped, salt, 2 brown bread slices soaked in water and squeezed, ½ cup semolina, oil. 


 1. Cook the beetroot and potatoes in a pressure cook. Peel and grate both into a bowl. 

 2. Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, fennel powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, amchur powder, green chillies, salt and bread slices into the bowl and knead well. 

 3. Shape out cutlets from the mixture. Dip them in semolina. 

 4. Heat oil in a pan and cook the cutlets till they are crisp and lightly browned. 

 Serve hot with a spicy chutney or tomato ketchup. Try out this recipe today!
