Chaas or Buttermilk
Chaas or buttermilk is a popular drink across the country. It is made using curd and has great nutritional value. Buttermilk is rich in sodium, potassium, protein, calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12 and magnesium and hence is extremely beneficial for health.
Ingredients: 1 ½ cups curd, ½ tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 cup water, 5-6 ice cubes, black salt, coriander leaves for garnishing.
1. Pour the curd into a mixer jar along with the roasted cumin powder, water, ice cubes and black salt and blend into a smooth and frothy liquid.
2. Pour out into tall glasses.
3. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
You can also refrigerate the chaas and serve it. However, remember that it must be used the same day or it will go bad.
