Chana Masala Sandwich
Chickpeas or chana is a rich source of protein, dietary fibre, manganese and folate. Use this amazing lentil to prepare a delicious sandwich. Chana masala sandwich is very tasty and extremely easy to prepare.
Ingredients: 4 bread slices, ½ cup boiled chana, butter, chilli powder, garam masala, salt, lemon juice, grated carrot, grated beetroot, shredded cabbage, spring onions chopped, a few onion rings, chopped coriander leaves.
1. Soak the chana for about 8 hours. Later, cook in a pressure cooker till they turn soft.
2. Drain and shift the chana into a bowl. Add the spice powders, salt, lemon juice and mix well. Set aside.
3. Toast the bread slices in butter.
4. Spread the spiced chana on a bread slice and top with the grated vegetables. Place another slice on top.
