Rava is a highly nutritious food item, which is probably why it is replacing maida in a number of dishes. Originally used to prepare upma, rava is now being used to prepare dosa, idlis etc. This is undoubtedly because of its high nutritional value as it is rich in zinc, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, calcium, protein, fat, fibre and carbohydrates. Try out this chilla recipe using rava and make a healthy breakfast.

Ingredients: A cup of rava, 1 tablespoon of chopped onions, green chillies as per taste, ½ tsp of chopped adrak, 2 to 3 tablespoons of chopped dhania leaves, a pinch of ajwain seeds, a pinch of turmeric and red chilli powders, salt to taste, oil.
