This is a simple recipe which is nutritious. You can prepare Lachko Daal at home without much effort. The ingredients required are moong daal, Jaggery, ginger-garlic paste, dhania-jeera powder, chopped tomatoes and salt. Moong Daal is rich in protein and fiber which makes it a healthy food item.

Steps:

1. The first step is to soak the moong daal for at least 10minutes.Drain it and add 1 cup of water in a pressure cooker along with the daal. Cook it for a single whistle.

2. Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add mustard seeds along with ginger-garlic paste. Sauté it well.

3. The next step is to add coriander-cumin seeds powder, tomatoes, chilli powder and salt. Cook it until the tomatoes grow tender.

4. Add this content to the daal and mix it well.

Cook it for at least 6 minutes. You can garnish the dish with coriander leaves.
