Rice flour is a commonly used ingredient for breakfast and snack items in South India. It is rich in dietary fibre which aids bowel movement, thus keeping the digestive system healthy. Mysore Bonda is one such savoury which offers the goodness of rice flour and is easy to prepare.

Ingredients:¼ cup of rice flour, a cup of maida, half cup curd, ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of chopped ginger, salt to taste, oil to deep fry, ½ teaspoon baking soda, green chillies as per taste.

Steps:

1. Mix the maida, flour, ginger, chillies, salt, baking soda and curd in a bowl. Add in water to make a thick dough. Let it rest for an hour.

2. Grease your hands with a little oil and roll out small balls.

3. Heat oil in a vessel for deep frying these balls. Make sure the oil is not too hot. Serve hot with a tangy coconut chutney! Wasn’t that easy? So go on and make Mysore Bondas at home today!
