Hot Turmeric Drink Full Of Medicinal Benefits
We come in contact with so many bacteria and viruses every day. Home remedies are safe and effective and do not have any side effects. Turmeric is known for it's medicinal values as it is high in iron, magnesium and vitamin B-6. This drink is best for sore throat, cough cold and body pain.
Ingredients: Turmeric -1/4 tsb, Milk -1cup, Sugar or honey as per taste, Carom seeds -1/4tsb, Basil-10 leaves, Ginger finely crushed -1/4 tsb, Black paper crushed- a pinch, Clove -1, Water ½ cup
1. Pour water and milk in a tea pan and bring it to boil.
2. On a low fame add turmeric, carom seeds, basil, ginger, black paper and clove.
3. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes. When it reduces a bit, strain this mixture into a cup.
4. Mix honey or sugar in it.
Consume this drink when it is lukewarm at least 2 to 3 times in a day.
Note: If you don't like milk you can use water instead. If you are using only water then it will taste a little harsh. If you like, you can use little desi ghee on top of the drink.
