Indian Style Masala Penne Pasta

We all love pasta. So here we have an Indian-style pasta recipe. Pasta has carbohydrates which work as an energizer.

Ingredients: Penne pasta - 2 cups, Cooking oil - 1.5 tbsp, Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp, Urad dal - 1 tsp, Chana dal - 1 tsp, Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp, onion – 2 sliced, Tomato – 1 chopped, Curry leaves – few, Ginger-Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp, Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp, Kasuri methi - 2 pinches, Coriander leaves - to garnish

Steps:

1.  Boil the pasta and set aside.

2.  Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add urad dal, chana dal, Ginger-Garlic paste and saute for few seconds. Add onions and saute till transparent.

3.  Add tomatoes. Saute till mushy. Add all the powders and mix well for few minutes. Add 2 pinches of kasuri methi and let the mixture simmer for a minute in low flame.

4.  Add the cooked pasta and toss well. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
