Ragda is a popular dish which is served as a side dish with pattice. You can cook this delicious dish at home easily using white chick peas, which is a rich source of thiamine, folic acid, iron, copper, potassium, phosphorus, manganese and magnesium. 

Ingredients: 1 cup white peas, ¼ tsp. red chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp. oil, a pinch of hing, 4 ½ cups of water, salt. 

Steps

 1. Soak the peas in water overnight. Drain and cook in a pressure cooker with turmeric powder, water, salt and hing. 

 2. When the pressure comes down, remove the lid and check the consistency of the peas. Cook the gravy till it is thick. 

 3. Add red chilli powder to the gravy and simmer for a few minutes.

 Ragda is ready to be served with pattice or buns. You can also use this to make Ragda chaat. So try making Ragda at home today using this recipe and surprise your little one.
