Make a sumptuous and highly nutritious breakfast by making ragi idlis. These idlis are made from ragi flour, which is derived from finger millets. Finger millets are a rich source of amino acids, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, Vitamin B6, folic acid, niacin and dietary fibre. This recipe allows you to use finger millet or ragi flour to cook delicious and colourful idlis at home.
Ingredients: 2 cups fermented idli batter, ½ cup ragi flour, ½ cup warm water, salt, oil.
1. Mix the ragi flour with warm water and make a smooth paste.
2. Add this to the idli batter. Add salt, mix and set aside for 20 minutes.
3. Grease your idli moulds, pour in the batter and steam for 10 minutes.
Your ragi idlis are ready. Prepare them at home today using this recipe and serve them with coconut chutney or sambar.
