Lotus seeds are a rich source of manganese, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, thiamine, protein, etc. and hence are very beneficial to health. Here’s a snack recipe using makhana that you will love to have. 

Ingredients: 3 cups makhana, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, salt, 2-3 tsp oil. 

Steps

 1. Heat oil in a kadhai and roast the makhanas till they are crisp and crunchy. 

 2. Add the spice powders and stir well with the makhanas. 

 3. Switch off the flame and remove the makhanas and spices from the pan. 

 4. Serve hot
