Shikanji - lemonade

Lemons are a great source of Vitamin C, iron, Vitamin B6, magnesium, dietary fibre, carbohydrate and potassium. Shikanji is a slight variation of the lemonade that you make at home. It is extremely rejuvenating and nutritious and you can ensure that you get all the nutrition of lemons using this recipe. Shikanji is easy to make and can made in no time. 

Ingredients: 1 medium sized lemon, 2 glasses water, 1 tsp roasted cumin powder, salt, sugar, 4-5 mint leaves for garnishing, ice cubes. 


 1. Take a bowl of water and set it aside. 

 2. Cut the lemon into two and squeeze the lemon juice directly into the bowl. 

 3. Add the roasted cumin powder, sugar and salt. 

 4. Pour out into tall glasses, garnish with mint leaves and ice cubes.
