Sweet and Nutritious Oats Kheer
Having oats for breakfast is a great way to start the day.Oats are rich in fibre, which will keep your child’s digestive system healthy. It is also rich in essential minerals such as phosphosrus, manganese and zinc.
Ingredients: One cup of oats, one tablespoon of ghee, 1 ½ cups of milk, sugar as per taste, a pinch of cardamom powder, a few strands of saffron , a handful of chopped almonds, pistachios, cashews and raisins (pre-soaked in water).
1. Heat ghee in a vessel and lightly fry the oats in it. Add the milk and sugar and stir to ensure that the oats cook well.
2. After the oats are done, add the saffron and cardamom powder.
3. Serve with topping of the chopped dry fruits and raisins.
