Sweetlicious Til (Sesame seeds) Ladoo
The combination of sesame seeds and jaggery is the best source of nutrition. Sesame seeds are rich in vitamins, minerals, natural oils and organic compounds; while jaggery is a good source of energy, which helps in purifying blood, increases the hemoglobin level and also, keeps your body warm during winter.
Sesame seeds-500 gm, Jaggery- 500gm, Ghee- 2tsb, Peanuts- 100gm, Cardamom powder- 1tsb
Clean the sesame seeds thoroughly.
Roast the sesame seeds on medium flame. On stirring continuously, the seeds will turn into light brown. At this stage, the seeds will be so fragile that if you crush them with hands they will be powdered. You will also get a nutty aroma.
Switch off the gas and place your pan down. Grind the roasted sesame seeds lightly using mixer. Make a coarse powder of it.
Using the same pan, start roasting the peanuts.
Crush the roasted peanuts into small pieces or use the grinder and powder it.
Put the crushed jaggery in the pan and turn on the flame. Pour 1 tsb of ghee into the pan. Keep it on low flame and melt the jiggery completely .
Add cardamom powder to the melted jaggery and mix it well. Now add peanuts and sesame seeds into the above mixture.
Put the pan down mix all the ingredients properly.
Rub your hands with a few drops of ghee. Take a little of the mixture and roll it in between your palms to make a ball; first clockwise and then anti-clockwise.
When all the ladoos cools down completely, store it in air tight container.
You can serve this ladoo to your loved one anytime they want something small to eat.
