Tempting Papad ki Subzi
Urad dal papad is not just delicious to eat but also is loaded with proteins and Vitamin B. Here’s an easy recipe using urad dal papads that is quick to prepare and delightfully delicious.
Ingredients: 3 to 4 urad dal papads, oil to cook, ½ teaspoon of methi seeds, a pinch of hing, 2 teaspoons of coriander powder, ½ teaspoon of haldi powder, 1 teaspoon of chilli powder, 2 cups of curd, one tomato diced, one chopped onion, salt to taste.
1. Break the papad into small pieces and keep it aside. Soak the methi seeds in water and ensure that the water is removed repeatedly to remove their bitterness.
2. Take a bowl, pour the yogurt, add the masala powders and mix well.
3. Heat some oil in a vessel, add methi seeds and fry for about half a minute. Add tomato and onion and sauté well. When it is done, add the curd mixture and let it come to a boil. Pour in more water if you like.
4. Once the gravy has come to a boil add the papad pieces. Serve with chappatis or rice.
