Tofu Sandwich

You can treat yourself with a delicious breakfast recipe called Tofu Sandwich. This is a simple recipe that can be managed without any hassle. The ingredients involved are healthy which makes it quite advantageous. Tofu adds the richness of calcium, protein and iron. Moreover, cabbage is also used in the dish that is a wonderful source of potassium, dietary fiber and Vitamin B-6. 

Ingredients:  1-14 ounce package tofu, 1/8 tsp salt, 1 tbsp canola oil, ½ cup prepared barbeque sauce, 1 ½ coleslaw mix or finely shredded cabbage, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, ¼ tsp garlic powder, pepper, 4 whole-wheat hamburger buns toasted, 4 dill pickle sandwich slices. 


 1. Take a small bowl and place the onions. Add water and cover it for some time. Stand tofu on its narrow side. Cut it lengthwise into 4 rectangular slabs. Sprinkle some salt. 

 2. Take oil in a large non-stick skillet. Add the tofu slabs over medium heat. Cook until it turns brown on both sides. Lower the heat and add barbeque sauce and coat the tofu in the sauce. Cook for 3 min. 

 3. In the meantime, you need to combine cabbage, mayonnaise, garlic powder and pepper in a medium bowl. Drain the onion. 

 4. Next move is to place 1/3 cup of the cabbage mixture on every bun. Top it will tofu slab and pickle slice along with a few slices of onion. Top it with another bun.
