Black chickpeas are a great source of proteins, dietary fibre, copper, folate and manganese. You can ensure that all these nutrients are provided by trying out this recipe. Veg Shammi kababs are made of black chickpeas which are extremely healthy and nutritious. 

Ingredients: 1 cup dried black chickpeas, 1 onion chopped, 1 tsp. mint leaves chopped, 1 tbsp. coriander leaves chopped, ½ tsp. chilli powder, 1 green chilli chopped, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 2 tbsp. gram flour, salt and oil. 


 1. Soak the chickpeas in water overnight. Next morning, drain and cook them in a pressure cooker. 

 2. Put into a bowl and mash. Add all the other ingredients, except oil. 

 3. Shape out kababs and shallow fry in a pan till they are crisp and golden.
