Yummilicious Chocolate Sorbet
Chocolate Sorbet is the one such dessert that you keep craving for more. This yummy dessert is a perfect blend for taste and health. The core ingredient dark chocolate is very high in anti-oxidants and dietary fibres. This is an ideal dessert on those lazy Sundays.
2 ¼ cups (555 ml) water, 1 cup (200g) sugar, ¾ cup (75g) unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder, pinch of salt, 6 ounces (170g) bittersweet or semi sweet chocolate(finely chopped), ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
1. In a large saucepan, whisk together 1 ½ cups (375 ml) of water with the sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Bring it to boil, whisking frequently. Continue to whisk for 45 seconds.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate until it gets melted. Then add the vanilla extract and the remaining ¾ cup (180ml) of water. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend for 15 seconds.
3. Chill the mixture thoroughly, then freeze it in your ice-cream maker. If the mixture has become too thick to pour into the bowl then whisk it vigorously to thin it out.
4. Serve it with some honey roasted walnuts.
