Parathas are great for breakfast as they are filling and will keep you charged throughout the morning. Dal parathas combine the goodness of dal and wheat flour, which means you get proteins and fibre in the same meal.

Ingredients:1 ½ cups of whole wheat flour, ¾ cup of cooked dal , salt to taste, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala, chopped cilantro, oil to fry.

Steps:

1. Mix all ingredients except oil in a vessel. Knead well to form soft dough.

2. Make equal sized balls from the dough. Roll them out. Grease them with oil and fold them over. Grease the surface again.

3. Now roll out and fry in oil on the tawa. Use a spatula to press the surface occasionally to ensure the paratha has cooked well inside.

Your dal parathas are ready! Serve with chilled raita. Easy isn’t it? Try it out today!
