Want to learn a unique recipe using poha? Try out our super simple Aval Dosa recipe loaded with the goodness of carbohydrates and dietary fibre.

Ingredients: Idli Rice - 2 cups, Thick Poha/Aval - 1 cup, Butter milk - 4.5 cups, Salt - as needed.


1. Wash the Poha and rice together. Soak the rice+poha in buttermilk for 3-4 hours. 

2.  Grind the rice and poha using the soaked buttermilk. Add little water if necessary. Add the required salt and make a smooth batter. Cover the b zatter and keep aside for 5-7 hours. 

3. Heat a dosa pan and pour a ladleful of batter. Drizzle a little oil around the dosa and cover the dosa pan with a lid.

4.  Cook on medium flame till the top of the dosa cooks well. Remove and serve with tomato chutney.
