If your young one is doing well with solid food, it’s time to spike up his nutrition level a notch higher. This dish is highly nutritious as it is made from rice which is a good source of proteins, vitamins, calcium and starch. Here’s how you can make fried rice for your baby at home. 

Ingredients: 1 tbsp. split moong dal, 2 tbsp. rice, 2 cups water, ½ onion finely chopped, a few cumin seeds, ½ tbsp. ghee. 

Steps

 1. Wash and soak the rice and dal for 30 minutes. 

 2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and splutter the cumin seeds. Brown the onions and add the rice and dal. 

 3. Add water and cook in the pressure cooker till you get 2-3 whistles. 

 4. Once the cooker has cooled, remove the lid and mash the ingredients.
